Ing. Richard Selby, Ph.D.

Richard was born and brought up in the United Kingdom. He worked abroad as an engineer in the international telecommunications industry for over 30 years. In addition to Engineering, his work included numerous management responsibilities, including project management and managing people. From 1989 to 2001 he became, firstly a teacher in telecommunications engineering and management, then responsible for the day-to-day running and resourcing of the various programmes at the company’s training college.

Richard moved to the Czech Republic in 2002, and now teaches at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague – Suchdol. He is a member of the Management department of the Faculty of Economics and Management, where he teaches Management, Marketing, and Human Resources Management at Bachelors and Masters level. In his lectures and presentations he combines theory with practical experience gained over the course of his career.

Richard lives in Prague and obtained his doctorate at CULS in 2009, with his dissertation about Experiential Management Learning.
